From greenfield land to urban communities: a decade of transformation along Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs

Orens Capital recently hosted our inaugural investor seminar, “The Urban Transformation: Greenfield Investments in Victoria”. The event also featured site visits to various suburbs along Melbourne’s South East Growth corridor.
Special thanks to our keynote speakers, Bret Fleming, Director of Urbis, and Jimmy Zhang, Co-founder and CEO of Orens Capital. They shared valuable insights into Victorian planning policies and the ongoing trends in greenfield development, highlighting Melbourne’s growth areas as one of the strongest and most highly sought-after investment sectors in Australia. Despite the intense competition for developable greenfield land, significant opportunities remain to acquire strategic landholdings within the Melbourne Urban Growth Boundary.
Following the seminar, participants were invited to visit three sites at Junction Village, Cranborne and Clyde North. The visit provided a firsthand look at how greenfield development can transform untapped land into thriving communities in a decade.
